Rita Weatherholt, Executive Director

Rita Weatherholt became the Executive Director for Arizona Blind and Deaf Children's Foundation in June 2008.  Since that time, she has worked with the Board of Directors to fine tune the Foundation's business practices, create new programs to serve both blind and deaf children in Arizona, and build the organization's base in the community.

Weatherholt brings more than 25 years of professional experience to this post, covering for-profit, government and non-profit work.  She has formerly served as Executive Director of Information and Referral Services, and Junior Achievement in Tucson.  With more than 10 years of serving the non-profit community in Tucson, Weatherholt has also served on a number of non-profit Boards and committees at the local, state and national levels.

Working for the Foundation has truly been inspiring to Weatherholt, who believes strongly that the programs the Foundation creates and supports have the capacity to help young people build their own success in life.

Weatherholt maintains an open-door policy with the public, and welcomes questions and comments.  Contact her at Rita@azblinddeafchildren.org or 520.577.3700.
